[PL 211] The Perils of Gay Marriage

Two of the main reasons against recognizing the right of same-sex couples to get married seem to be the following:



  • Growing up in a same-sex family could have harmful consequences for children. (Antonin Scalia)
  • The social effects of same-sex marriage are still unknown. (Samuel Alito)
Are these good reasons to deny gay people the right to get married?
