[PHI 3000] Can we agree to disagree?

A and B disagree.
A: I believe that p.
B: I believe that not-p.
A: Let's agree to disagree.
Can A and B agree to disagree?

Presumably, A thinks that B holds that not-p because of some fault on his/her part. In disagreeing with B, A is trying to show B his/her mistake. So, as far as A is concerned, if only B could see his/her mistake, there would be no disagreement.

Similarly, B thinks that A holds that p because of some fault on his/her part. In disagreeing with A, B is trying to show A his/her mistake. So, as far as B is concerned, if only A could see his/her mistake, there would be no disagreement.

So, for A, the disagreement is B's fault, and for B, the disagreement is A's fault. In other words, for A, to agree to disagree is to agree that the disagreement is B's fault. And, for B, to agree to disagree is to agree that the disagreement is A's fault. If that is the case, can A and B agree to disagree?
